Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission: In 1st November 1956, Out of 22 districts of Madhya Pradesh eight district was transferred to Bombay and through the rest of the 14 districts a new Madhya Pradesh was formed. So the recruitment in new Madhya Pradesh was done by Union Public Service commission. Shri A.K Pandey is the present Chairman of MPPSC. Function of MPPSC is Direct Selection, Promotions, Transfer of services on deputation from etc.

SPSC: Sikkim Public Service Commission was established in 1978 constituted under article 315. But SPSC started its work in 1975 when Chairman and other staff was appointed. Its functions are:

Punjab Public Service Commission: The Joint Public Service Commission forerunner of PPSC was established on 1st May, 1937. Thereafter at the time of partition PPSC was resurged in February, 1948 at Shimla. Its jurisdiction ranged from the Khyber Pass to the Jamuna near Delhi. PPSC conducts various competitive Exams for recruitment in various services and posts.
